Mark D. Ein
Co-Chairman of Kastle Systems since January 2007. Mr. Ein is the majority owner
and managing member of the Kastle Systems group, acquired through Leland
Investment Co, his personal investment holding company.
Mr. Ein is the founder of Venturehouse Group, LLC, a technology holding company
that creates, invests in and builds technology and telecommunications companies,
and has served as its Chief Executive Officer since 1999. He is also the founder
and Chief Executive Officer of Capitol Acquisition Corporation (AMEX: CLA.U), a
special purpose acquisition vehicle (SPAC) formed for the purpose of making an
acquisition of a growth company, which completed a $250 million initial public
offering in November 2007. Earlier in his career, Mr. Ein worked for The Carlyle
Group, Brentwood Associates and Goldman Sachs.
A native of the Washington area, he actively supports many community, charitable
and cultural organizations. He serves on the Board of Directors of The
Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (NIH), The Economic Club of
Washington D.C., The Washington Tennis & Education Foundation, The Tennis Center
at College Park and The Potomac Officers Club. He also serves on the Executive
Committee of the Federal City Council, the Steering Committee for the Business
Executives for National Security (BENS) DC, the Advisory Board of the Hoop
Dreams Scholarship Fund, the Donor Advisory Group for the FasterCures
Philanthropy Advisory Service, the Selection Committee for the George J.
Mitchell Scholarship program, and the Leadership Committee of Fight for
Children. He was previously on the Trustees Council of The National Gallery of
Art, The Board of Directors of the SEED Foundation and on the Board of The Wolf
Trap Center for the Performing Arts.
In July, 2000, Mr. Ein was named one of Washington Business Forward’s “Forward
40” – a list of the top 40 business people in Washington, D.C./Northern Virginia
region – after being named one of its “Next Network” of 40 “rising stars” in
October, 1999. He received his BS in Economics with a concentration in finance
from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his MBA from The
Harvard Business School.
Piyush Sodha
is Co-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kastle Systems International has
served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cibernet Corporation,
which merged into MACH in April 2007. Prior to that, Mr. Sodha had served as the
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Matrics, Inc., which was a leading
provider of RFID technology solutions and infrastructure products.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Sodha had served as Chief
Executive Officers of WirelessHome, NextLinx Corp and LCC International, a
Nasdaq listed provider of integrated network design, implementation and
optimization solutions for wireless voice and data communication networks which
went public under his leadership in 199 5 . Mr. Sodha is currently, on the Board
of Directors of Capital Acquisition Group, MACH and Vision Chain.
Mr. Sodha received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical
Engineering from India Institute of Technology in New Delhi, India, a Master of
Science in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and an M.B.A. from
Wharton Business School.
Gene
Samburg, Founder of Kastle Systems began the company in 1972 to
provide electronic security systems for commercial office buildings, as well as operate and manage the systems on an ongoing basis.
He serves as a member of the company’s Executive Committee. Prior to Kastle, he
served as the District General Manager for Westinghouse Security Systems in the
Washington, D.C. area, where he worked with the U.S. Secret Service to provide
systems and solutions for The White House, Camp David and four presidential
residences.
Gene received a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell
University. He attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology and completed the
Owner/President Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Gene received Ernst & Young’s “Master Entrepreneur of the Year” award in 1999,
and was named one of Security Sales & Integration’s Top Entrepreneurs of the
Year 2005. He is a regular guest lecturer on Entrepreneurship at Georgetown
University and taught an extension course at American University entitled “The
Successful Entrepreneur.” Gene is a member of the Cornell Society of Engineers,
the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the American Society for
Industrial Security, and he is the holder of a U.S. patent on a security control
and alarm system.
